Day 01: Arrive Delhi
Meeting & assistance on arrival and transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 02: Delhi
Morning half day combined sightseeing tour of Old and New Delhi. Visit Qutab Minar, India Gate (War Memorial) Lakshmi Narayan Temple-Modern Hindu Temple, drive past President’s House, Parliament House and Secretariat buildings. Also visit Raj Ghat– the cremations sites of Mahatma Gandhi and drive past Jama Masjid, Red Fort and Chandni Chowk. Overnight at hotel.

Day 03: Delhi – Agra (By surface, approx 4-5 Hrs)
Morning depart for Agra by surface and on arrival check-in at Hotel. Overnight at hotel.  Afternoon sightseeing tour of the Taj Mahal & Fort. Visit the world famous Taj Mahal built by Shah Jahan in 1560 in memory of his queen Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains. This architectural marvel is a perfectly proportioned masterpiece fashioned from white marble that stands testimony to the skill of 20,000 craftsmen brought together from Persia, Turkey, France  and  Italy  and  who  took  17  years  to complete this ‘Love Poem in Marble’. (Friday closed). Later visit the Agra fort containing the halls of private & public audiences & other palaces. Shah Jahan spent here years of confinement at the hands of his son Aurangzeb, looking wistfully at the Taj Mahal from the Fort. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 04: Agra – Jaipur (237 Kim’s – 6-7 Hours)
Depart Agra for Jaipur by car. Enroute visit Fatehpur Sikri, built by Emperor Akbar in 1569 and abandoned after 15 years due to scarcity of water. The Fatehpur Sikri complex houses tomb of Salim Chisti, Panch Mahal and other palaces, which surprisingly have withstood the ravages of time and are still in good condition. On arrival check-in at Hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at Hotel.
 
Day 05: Jaipur
Full day city & Amber Fort with elephant ride. The tour begins with a visit to the Maharaja’s City Palace, – the former Royal residence, – part of it converted into a museum. One of the major attractions in the museum is the portion known as Armoury Museum, housing an impressive   array   of   weaponry -pistols, blunderbusses, flintlocks, swords, rifles and daggers. Also see the miniature items and old carpets at the Textile Museum. Later visit the Jantar Mantar, which is the largest stone-and-marble-crafted Observatory in the world. Situated near the gate of the city palace, the Observatory has 17 large instruments, many of them still in working condition. Standing tall over a small hillock overlooking the Pink city, Amber is a classic, romantic Rajasthani Fort-Palace. Miniatures painted on the walls depict hunting and war scenes, apart from festivals.  Precious stones and mirrors are embedded into the plaster. A major attraction at Amber is the Elephant Ride, all the way up to the Fort entrance.

Day 06: Jaipur – Mumbai (By flight)
Morning depart for Mumbai by air and on arrival check-in at hotel. Overnight at hotel.
 
Day 07: Mumbai
 Morning half day visit to Gateway of India, Mumbai’s principle landmark.  This arch of yellow basalt was erected on the waterfront in 1924 to commemorate King George V’s visit to this colony in 1911.  Drive past the Afghan Church.  Secretariat of Maharashtra Government and along the Marine Drive which is fondly known as the ‘Queen’s Necklace’.  Visit Jain temple and Hanging Gardens which offer a splendid view of the city, Chowpatty, Kamala Nehru Park and also Mani Bhavan where Mahatma Gandhi stayed during his visits to Mumbai.  Drive past Haji Ali Mosque, a shrine in honor of a Muslim Saint on an island 500 m. out at sea and is linked by a causeway to the mainland.  Stop at the ‘Dhobi Ghat’ where Mumbai’s ‘dirties’ are scrubbed, bashed, dyed and hung out to dry.  Watch the local train passing close by on which the city commuters ‘hang out like laundry’ – a nice photography stop.  Continue to the colorful Crawford market and to the Flora fountain in the large bustling square, in the heart of the city.

Day 08: Mumbai
Day at leisure. Overnight at hotel.

Ile Sainte Marie (Nosy Boraha)
A 57 km-long island off Madagascar’s east coast, is an authentic tropical island with lush vegetation interspersed with many small villages. This island is beautiful, offering the ultimate escape from civilisation. The hotels along its coast range from basic to classy establishments with all necessary modern facilities. The lush surroundings bring to mind images of an enormous tropical garden. It’s ideal for honeymoon couples or anybody with a romantic flair. Ile Sainte Marie boasts numerous white sandy beaches and secluded coves, fringed with coconut palms. The coral reefs offshore offer excellent snorkelling and scuba diving. In August and September, hump-backed and other types of whales migrate here and are a huge attraction. The roads beckon mountain bikers and most hotels hire bicycles and snorkelling gear

Itinerary 7 nights

Day 1: fly to Antananarivo (Tana), the lively Malagasy capital in the Central Highlands. On arrival you will be met by our representative and transferred to Palissandre Hotel & Spa. (B&B)

Day 2: Transfer to the airport and fly to Ile Sainte Marie. A representative of the hotel will meet you on arrival.

 Transfer to the PRINCESSE BORA LODGE where you will be staying for six nights- Dinner Bed and Breakfast.
 A short transfer from the airport by traditional oxcart (cars or rickshaws are available for the less adventurous!) The hotel offers an excellent restaurant specialising in seafood and French cuisine.
 All 20 rooms have a safe, private veranda and the bungalows are tastefully decorated and spacious with en-suite bathrooms. The nine Comfort Villas (35m2) are for one couple and only have a fan. No twin or additional beds for children or adults.

 There are six Luxury Villas (55m2) that have a fan and air-conditioning and accommodate up to two adults and two children (one large, suspended double bed, two small single beds in a mezzanine).

 Princesse Bora Lodge has five Executive Beach Villas (90m2) with large bedrooms and king-size beds, large bathrooms, a sunken bath, shower and air-conditioning. All villas have private beach access with private verandas. Maximum one child can share the Executive Beach Villa with two adults.

 Hotel facilities include a bar and the restaurant is renowned for its excellent cuisine. There is a dive centre and fishing boats and equipment is available. Whale safaris are offered by boat. Scientists studying whales stay at Princesse Bora Lodge during the whale season and offer guests a chance to participate in their research, which can be a thrilling highlight.
 Swimming in the sea from the beach only possible at high tide but there is a magnificent rim flow pool to relax in and from the wooden, spacious jetty with loungers you will be able to swim even at low tide.
 The newly opened Jungle Spa offers a variety of relaxing and stimulating massages with Malagasy essential oils. Located in a tropical setting it has a traditional feel with Malagasy pirogues used as baths.

 Free activities: snorkelling, kayaking, mountain biking and the Olympic size pool (25 metres).
 
Day 8: Transfer to the airport and fly back to Antananarivo. Make your way to the international departure lounge and check in for your flight out..
